Chleo Limited Edition - Herman Li Signature Model - PRS Guitars

Ah, another great product from my friend, nay, my brother, Paul. I think the guitar has a very interesting shape and build quality that is unrivaled. I'm waiting for the Private Reserve 11 top, which will easily clock in at a cool $25,000. But, I would expect no less from today's greatest builder and innovator in the electric instrument.

It's a bit of a secret, but Paul and I are working on the @Smash signature version. We may even have a few designs floating around for an @VonBonfire signature model as well; his will sound best through any of today's commonly available boots pedals. I don't think Paul has talked to them, he's just going to spring it on them and force them to play it live and promote it while their families are in captivity as a guarantee they'll hold up their end.

I wonder whether the PRS @VonBonfire signature's headstock shape will be more PRS or more Tyler.

Maybe they'll do a half and half PRS / Tyler headstock for the most beautiful headstock design of all:

or maybe they'll go for another kind of half and half design, different but just as beautiful:

It would be nice to get to the source instead of just having copies of PRS silver skys from Fender and knockoff LP double cuts from Gibson. As long as Paul loads his revolutionary PR-ES semi hollows with his own 58 classic pickups I'm sure I will love the guitar!!!

He's going to need a 9 foot long case to house that guitar with the latter headstock.

Just watched the McKnight video, I really like it, but if I had my preference I would change a few things. I've always been a fan of the Ibanez "S" guitars, so that body taper appeals to me. I know it's not "shredder", but I would just love to see it in 22 frets and dual hum (without a center single). Other specs are bang on for me, ebony board, 25.5" scale, etc.. No way I would drop $7K+ for it, but when compared to something out of Private Stock it's probably "reasonable". LOL

Yeah, I feel the same about dropping the middle pickup. I have a couple three guitars with middle pickups and I always lower them to be flush with the body otherwise my pick hand hits them and I can't stand it.

Also, if you've played a Suhr dual humbucker guitar with a 5-way pickup selector, then know those guitars are just as good at getting the cool oddball strat style position 2 and 4 type tones.

It’s limited to 200 pieces. And there are way more expensive PRS models.

People have no issues dropping 5K for a amp 🤣

To me, lower half of the body shape looks like the Peavey: Wolfgang CT, HP2 and especially the HP Special.

I have a Hell Razor KT88. Admittedly it's in the same ridonculous expensive pricing tier as the Chleo. However, modern high gain amps are my favorite kind of amps and what I think best represent my own voice, musically speaking. I bought one believing (and still believing after having owned it for a while now) it's the single best modern high gain amp for me ever made. I know there are some people who didn't bond with theirs but IMO for me it's a lifer. And I honestly doubt I'll ever play anything more suited to the way I want a modern gain amp to sound, and that's fine because to me, the HR isn't just better than everything else I've tried, it's so exactly what I want a modern high gain amp to be that I'm not even curious about anything else that could be better at this point. There's just no need to look anymore. Am I still interested in different amps that do different things? Sure. But as far as super modern tight high gain amps? I'm good now.

I say all that because I think that's the kind of money and stakes being talked about here. I mean sure, money is relative and there are folks around who could buy a half dozen Chleos without blinking. But for most people, I'd image that price would only really be worth it if that kind of "super sleek, super modern, super shreddy" type guitar is their main type of guitar, and that they think specifically the Chleo would be the best representation of that kind of instrument they'll ever play. At least that's what it would take for me to want to start saving up for one.
