Week started off very rough.

my wife knows how long i’ve wanted this mod done to my guitar so she filmed me pulling it out of the case and i made a quick iphone clip playing it for the first time.

legendary Tyler clean tone sounded killer in the room, but wdw dirt sounded weird and fuzzy— still figuring out what switch does what but i’ll work on it!

I, like many have admired and respected these guitars for a long time. To have those two finishes, maybe the wildest against the most traditional is really, really cool. Special guitar before you turn it over and see what’s on the back of the headstock. #1, Man, that’s something. Very stoked for you and wholly cow, what a day.

just the most brutal surf injury i’ve ever dealt with. i’ve been hit in the face and had stitches before, punctured eardrum, hit the reef on my elbow = stitches, slammed bottom and split open both my heels, tailbone bruise, head gash…all gnarly, but this was next level.

thank God for poi and yogurt!

always loved the BW finish, and then the idea hit me years ago…2018…?…to just refinish my gtr with that paint job because i’ve never played another Tyler like mine and i didn’t want a different guitar.
But then i saw some custom fender relics blending different finishes and came up with the idea of the “burning tobacco”, as if my gtr was catching fire and the finishes and name just made sense!
the added cool factor of those two finishes being a tribute to my two favorite Tyler/rack heroes Landau and Huff just made it destiny!

Cracking paint job, absolutely head over heels gorgeous........well worth the wait. Sorry about the tongue! Sitting here in sunny West Yorkshire (UK), surfing seems another planet!.,...hope you heal fast dude

i’m still completely fanboi-ing every time i open the case😍 almost seems surreal to be honest. cosmetically and functionally my dream guitar. every possibility i want in a strat is available.

slowy redialing my rack presets to balance/eq the crunch and lead sounds with the gtr.

now that i have the preamp/mid boost circuit, i can play crunch rhythm with that off for a tighter attack, then hit it to fatten single notes on the leads.

ah the UK.. always dreamed of catching a Man U or Arsenal game back in the golden years with Giggs, Ronaldo, Henry, etc…
while living in So Cal my son and i went to a friendly at the Rose Bowl—LA Galaxy with Beckham v the ULTIMATE Barcelona lineup—Messi, Xavi, Henry, Ibrahimovic, Iniesta, Pujol
Also saw Real Madrid w/Ronaldo at the first soccer tournament ever at Dodger Stadium!

Amazing!
