Doctor Love
A NGD (New Guitar Day) is a rare occurrence at my age these days. There's not much out there that I truly lust over but this one has been on my list for a few years so I decided to pull the trigger. Now "pull the trigger" in this case meant that I had to sell both of my EVH Striped Series guitars in order to justify/fund this purchase.
Did I sell them? Nope - I traded them in to Earle Teat Music in Delmar, Delaware and they ordered me this amazing EVH Frankenstein!
Why trade vs sell? Why buy local vs online? I'll tell you all of the reasons in today's video!

As much as I love King Edward, I have never once chased that sound. Nor have I really heard a good version of it in any preset or user cloud patch. Anything that gets close sounds terrible under my fingers.
 
Congrats!

Back when they first came out I grabbed a Bumblebee....other than the sharp fret ends it was a nice guitar esp for 899. Felt close to my USA Charvels.

Yeah that initial run was rushed so fret sprout was definitely a thing. I had it on both my BW and RBW models
 
Have you had a chance to play any of the new evh imports? And sweet guitar Alan…congrats….
 
Just sold my white EVH relic. Apart from wanting a different pickup, I couldn’t fault anything about it. Just didn’t bond with it. Didn’t really utilize the DTuna like I thought I would and being new to Floyd’s, I realized I’d rather a floating guitar.

I have a dtuna I tried to install on my Jackson v and it wouldn’t adjust at all. First time I ever messed with one so I’m sure I did something wrong. Even though it was super simple to install….
