You had to do it because of the war in the Pacific against the Japanese who attacked you. You didn't do it willingly to help us at all. So you are the ingrates. Thank us for our service before you pulled your finger out because you wanted to help yourself.
To think that men died so you could bitch about other men while drinking a 5k cup of coffee. Man crocodile dundee is rolling in his grave right now.

Our men died - your men fought your own war that happened to align with our war.

Also listen to you complaining about a trivial purchase while you sit in the world HQ of hedonism and consumerism - the USA. The hypocrisy is unbelievable

God bless the USA

Incidentally - looks like people who go to Walmart ate a 5k Coffee Machine.

Trivial is exactly what a 5k coffee maker is. If I never had another cup of coffee again I wouldn't care. Waste of money.

Do you drink alcohol? I don't - waste of money.
If I don't gig I usually buy one of those 32oz gas station beers on fridays which is about $3 and change but otherwise I get free booze at shows. So my alcohol expenditure is probably around a hundred bucks a year. I just don't buy much "pleasure" stuff except gear which is a business write off. I think I've spent maybe $400-450 on strings, a couple pedals, and a a couple guitar cables this year.

Just to throw a wrench in there, look up "earthships" on youTube. It's a construction technique for off grid living that also includes solar, passive heating/cooling and rainwater collection. Might not be your thing but it's interesting.
Oh hell yeah. I also built a passive solar strawbale geeenhouse.

Do you know that in terms of money Profit = Revenue - Expenses.

You focus on Expenses however your choices in terms of both revenue and expenses matter. So your choice in what you do to earn a living can be just as stupid in terms of monetary reward as your choice in spending on things. If you want to focus on my expenses let's look at the other side of the equation - Revenue.

Would a $5k coffee machine matter to your idol Donald Trump if not why not? Maybe it's insignificant because he has enough money. Maybe he just spends more on coffee rather than the machine because he can afford that... Maybe he'd buy a private jet.

If revenue was quite a bit higher than your expenses for 30 years maybe you'd accumulate enough that $5k is nothing.

I don't need to keep all my money until I die. That would be stupid. That said, I only need enough to live on. I don't care what happens to my money after I die. I won't know about it.

That's a nice lecture and all stuff I've heard before but even if I had Trump money 5k on a coffee maker is just overly self indulgent and not how I'd go about spending it. You can't seem to bring yourself to admit it's frivolous. 100k isn't any real money in the grand scheme of things but you won't see me squander it on a sports car or elaborate vacation when those fields of gold that I behold are in my bank account.

Squander it implies you have nothing left or will have nothing left.
What if it's living within your means.
Why would I want to die with millions of dollars left when I have no heirs.
Do you eat out? I never go to restaurants. The most I spend on eating out is a pub dinner occassionally.
What about all those people that buy a coffee everyday at a coffee shop. I'm being more frugal than that because it costs me way less owning the machine. Especially considering my wife also enjoys it.

It's a frivolous expenditure. Might as well have spent it gold plating the door handles on your Tesla or jewel encrusting the gas cap on your harley. It's not a wise use of the money which has been entrusted to you by the Lord. I guess we are going to spend all night discussing this.

Money from the Lawd

Hopefully Elon does 2 things:
1)Explain how he bought the election for Trump, which he already said he did.
2)Release whatever Epstein files his hackers have access to.
You were probably vandalizing Teslas last month.

He could've donated 2500 to his local food bank, 1500 to his church, and still had a grand to dump on a stupid coffee making machine. It's as stupid as Trump's gold plated penthouse. The kind of stuff someone with more money than brains blows their cash on. Sure, it's his cash, go ahead and waste it. We all will be called into account for our foolish purchases. To someone with much, 5k is nothing, a weekend of spending. To someone with nothing i5k is a damn good start on a new life. People have lost sight of what is important and it isn't 5k coffee makers and other overpriced toys.

I have already spent money on a flush mount gas cap on my Harley :p

The minister of my Church bought an aftermarket exhaust for his Suzuki recently and owns 3 motorcycles :ROFLMAO: He's allowed to have a hobby you know!

We don't have to give everything to charity. Take Job for example he was very prosperous both before and after his testing. He wasn't condemned for that.

Also these days in Australia unlike America there are safety nets that support people that are paid out of our taxes. It's not as desperate here as in bronze age Canaan.
