Since his re-election in 2024, Donald Trump’s administration has exhibited extensive corruption alongside authoritarian tendencies, threatening the integrity of American democracy.

One of the clearest signs of corruption is how Trump and his associates have used the powers of the presidency for personal financial gain. Despite repeated promises to divest from his business interests, Trump has continued to profit from government-related contracts, leases, and events tied to his private enterprises. For example, several federal agencies and military operations have utilized Trump-owned properties, such as hotels and golf courses, funneling taxpayer money directly into his businesses.

Additionally, Trump has leveraged government resources to reward political allies and punish opponents through lucrative contracts and favorable regulations. Reports indicate that companies connected to Trump’s inner circle have received disproportionate government contracts related to immigration enforcement and border security, raising serious questions about pay-to-play schemes.

The massive \$170 billion budget for immigration enforcement under Trump’s administration has also been a source of financial enrichment. Not only has this budget expanded the scope of ICE operations in ways that suppress dissent, but it has also created opportunities for cronyism, with contracts awarded to companies linked to Trump donors or family members. This intertwining of public funds and private benefit epitomizes corrupt governance.

Furthermore, the Trump administration has been accused of manipulating policies to boost his brand internationally, using the prestige of the presidency to attract foreign investments and business deals to his properties. Such blending of public office and private profit erodes trust in the impartiality of government decisions.

Combined with aggressive nationalist rhetoric, suppression of opposition, and militarization of domestic policy enforcement, these corrupt practices paint a picture of a regime that is not only authoritarian but fundamentally self-serving. The use of state power to enrich the ruling family and consolidate political control is a hallmark of corrupt, fascist governments.

In summary, Donald Trump’s current administration demonstrates profound corruption through personal enrichment and cronyism, alongside fascist tactics of power consolidation and suppression of dissent. This dangerous combination undermines democratic institutions and endangers civil liberties.

It seems like Trump followers don't care how corrupt he is because Trump can't do no wrong. It's part of the cult mentality.

I don’t recall a single democrat here or anywhere else who was upset about the Bidens making millions off the Chinese and the Ukrainians which is actually more treasonous than simple grift.

JD writing a little essay doesn’t exactly meet the bar as far as actual evidence either. And I also don’t hear any democratic politicians leveling these accusations. It’s pretty much just partisan talking heads. Very suspicious given their propensity for impeaching him over ridiculous shit.

Here are **specific, documented examples** showing how Trump’s current regime has been **personally enriching**, deeply entangled with his business interests, and fostering corruption:

---

### 1. **Federal Spending Routed to Trump-Owned Properties**

* Federal agencies and congressional committees—including GOP-aligned ones—have **spent hundreds of thousands of dollars** at Trump hotels, golf resorts, and clubs since his re-election. For example, GOP political committees spent over **\$675,000** at his properties in 2024–25, mostly at Mar‑a‑Lago and Doral ([reddit.com][1], [citizensforethics.org][2]).
* His hotels and resorts also **charged Secret Service** and federal agencies inflated rates (up to 300% above standard), generating millions—e.g., \$1,815/night at Trump DC hotel ([reddit.com][1]).

---

### 2. **Foreign and Domestic Emoluments Violations**

* Reports show **\$7.8 million+** was paid by foreign governments to Trump properties via diplomats and business officials—potentially violating the Constitution’s foreign emoluments clause ([washingtonpost.com][3]).
* Domestic emolument concerns also surfaced: domestic federal spending at Trump’s DC hotel reportedly reached **\$2.5 million**, part of an estimated \$8 million in taxpayer payments ([thehill.com][4]).

---

### 3. **Multimillion-Dollar Family Deals with Foreign Governments**

* Eric Trump announced multi-million‑dollar deals in the Gulf (Oman, Saudi, Dubai) during the campaign and after re-election, raising conflict-of-interest concerns ([ft.com][5]).
* Jared Kushner’s hedge fund Affinity Partners raised \$2 billion from Saudi investors *while* Trump was in office—a potential gift/bargain that could influence policy ([ft.com][5]).

---

### 4. **Windfall Gains in Trump Real Estate and Crypto/Tech Ventures**

* Trump’s 2025 financial disclosures show over **\$600 million in personal income**—driven largely by Trump-branded projects, crypto ventures, and royalties ([newsweek.com][6]).
* Trump Organization paid off a \$114 million mortgage on 40 Wall Street, despite high vacancy rates—suggesting access to advantageous financing or insider benefits ([en.wikipedia.org][7]).
* A new Gulfstream jumbo jet gifted by Qatar (worth \~\$400 million) is slated for Trump use and eventual donation—raising red flags under the emoluments clause ([en.wikipedia.org][8]).

---

### 5. **Cronyism, Connections, and Pay-to-Play**

* Contracts and policies under Trump align with major donors and business allies. For example:

* Trump administration shifted rural broadband incentives to benefit Elon Musk’s Starlink soon after Musk’s large financial backing, despite conflicts of interest ([marketwatch.com][9], [theguardian.com][10]).
* His policies also favored traditional industries (oil, fossil fuel, construction) with pauses on clean energy measures—boosting donors such as Vulcan Materials and Martin Marietta ([investors.com][11]).

---

### Why It Matters

This demonstrates a clear pattern: the administration enabled and profited from Trump's private interests—via **foreign and domestic payments**, **taxpayer-funded perks**, **favorable contracts**, and **strategic policies** benefiting his businesses and allies.

That level of **self-dealing**, **conflict of interest**, and **emoluments violations** reflects systemic corruption rather than isolated incidents.

---

### Argument in Summary

Since 2024, Trump’s presidency has been **deeply intertwined with personal enrichment**: his properties are booming, government money is flowing into his businesses, foreign governments are investing in his ventures, and policy decisions favor his interests—all enabled by his control over the executive branch. This corruption, combined with authoritarian overtones, forms the backbone of a fascist-leaning regime where power is used to serve private gain.

Do you have any specific proof of Joe Biden enriching himself while in office?

You ever see the video where he is bragging about threatening to withhold foreign aid from Ukraine if they didn't fire the prosecutor who was investigating Burisma ? Not long before the democrats impeached Trump over a phone call to the Ukrainian president, accusing him of exactly what Biden was bragging about ? Can you explain Biden pardoning his brother and his son in light of the fact the Biden family had multiple LLCs they were running money through ?

Anyway dude, let's see some proof orangey is doing any of the stuff you say he is. If there is proof, then why aren't congressional democrats complaining about it or trying to hold him accountable ? If Trump is breaking the law he absolutely should be held accountable for it. Regardless of whether you guys choose to give Grampy a pass.

Dude, no one gives a fuck what you would welcome. You live in fucking New Zealand and aren't American. Get a life man. It's beautiful there. Go enjoy it.

I'm American and I'm fine with every corrupt politician being held accountable. I don't care what party they belong to. Of course, they have the money and power. We don't.

Agreed. Corruption should be stamped out regardless of party.

As usual, you have it backwards.
"The official, Viktor Shokin, was ousted for the opposite reason
Trump and his allies claim.
It wasn't because Shokin was investigating a natural gas company tied to Biden's son; it
was because Shokin wasn't pursuing corruption among the country's politicians, according to
a Ukrainian official and four former American officials who specialized in Ukraine and
Europe.
Shokin's inaction prompted international calls for his ouster and ultimately resulted in his
removal by Ukraine's parliament.
Without pressure from Joe Biden, European diplomats, the International Monetary
Fund and other international organizations, Shokin would not have been fired, said Daria
Kaleniuk, co-founder and executive director of the Anti Corruption Action Centre in Kiev."
