Seemed like Axl knew he wasn’t up with the other singers in this bill.

Stuffed the first note he played. Commented on nearly tripping over something on stage. Just seemed a bit overwhelmed.

I didn’t see their whole set yet though

I will reiterate here that I'll never understand Ghost's success, and this performance doesn't change my mind. Also, Steven Tyler sounds great especially considering his age. That aside, I can't imagine what a technical and logistical nightmare this show had to have been. 10-15 minute sets for most bands with a rotating stage, no real sound checks, about 5000 musicians, and then by the time everyone starts to warm up it's time to get the fuck off the stage. *And* live streaming the whole thing on top of that all. What a monster of a production.

this is why i was kinda skeptical it would be cool, but they pulled it off amazingly. to see all these bands as basically just that, bands playing live without any stage show distractions is cool as hell.

They played great . But I don’t like splash’s magnatone sound . It’s like a thicker Malcom young tone . So clean

i thought it contrasted the other dude nicely. its kind of funny they had their cabs facing backwards

I wondered if that was so they could turn 'em up more and get the tubes working without moving the sound guy's cheese. I've done similar before.

Tubes work regardless of volume.

No idea how Nick Johnston somehow fits Mastodon, but he does. Nuno was the Mitch Buchannon of the night. Disturbed singer was surprisingly decent. Ozzy surprisingly alive and kicking.
