Ditto, but I meant screwing up the mix for the portion of the audience in front of the amps. Where "screwing up" is defined as "not what the sound guy wants there".

Those Slash Magnatone heads are over $7000.00 each locally! Better sound good for that amount of clams!
 
Rumor has it that the two hour delay was in place to pitch correct Ozzy's performance. There is allegedly a difference between the audio on the fan shot video vs the PPV stream audio.

I certainly believe it. The guitar tone they were getting for most artists was spectacular...like I highly suspect much post work.

In some cases I preferred the fan-shot video. E.g., for BATM Vernon is almost completely inaudible the whole song and Nuno's tone is the dominant one.

Yeah the cell phone vids sounded way better for Alice and Mastodon too, the stream had dog shit sound. Also Ozzy and Sabbath sounded pretty bad in the cell phone vids unfortunately

Nah, it’s just so they’re not killing the players on stage. The sound from those cabs would be shooting over the heads of the front rows. Also might have been done to make setup easier on the rotating stage?
 
Prediction - Sabbath may be done playing shows, but not Ozzy. I bet Sharon can squeeze out at least one last wheelchair tour from the poor guy. And then the following year it will be a hospital bed tour. IV bags and monitors and all on stage.

Not to mention, if they tune any lower they'll be playing 7 strings.
