Ok I think I know what Floyd is struggling to talk about. Violence is kinda his thing so it’s hard to keep track of it, but by “yesterday” I think he meant Thursday.
That’s when he was fantasizing about me getting beat up in highschool. I kept posting quite a bit after than, then left to cook dinner.
Chicken Parm, I’m sure you all remember.

So my apologies for not posting while cooking. Salmon is on the grill tonight, so I’m gonna get on that.

In the meantime I hope Floyd gets the help he needs. I’ve seen signs of heat stress before and that dude is stressin

Salmon with a bit of Japanese bbq sauce and chopped up garlic and ginger

Does the garlic burn when cooked like that? Never seen that before
We eat salmon but i usually don't grill it.

I don’t flip it when I cook it on the grill so the garlic stays good. I aim for 130 internal temp and the skin is usually crispy enough to fall off by then.
Garlic is a staple in our household so it’s almost on everything lol

On the grill? No

We did have coconut rice and some sugar snap peas out of the garden
I heard you can eat dandelions. It's a diuretic though. I think in England they call it "Wet the bed". Might bring back unpleasant memories for you though. :dunno:

We throw dandelion leaves into salads every once in a while. chive flowers too.
The kids like foraging for lemon clover and I let wild strawberries take over the west side of the house which always make for a good snack.

You don't eat the crispy skin? That's my favorite part.

Keeps the groundhogs fat around here. I never tried to eat one, but the groundhogs love them. They're all over the southwest end of the property.
That’s what the dogs are for. Haven’t had a single vole in the garden this year. They nearly decimated it last year

Yeah, I don't kill groundhogs. Or anything else for that matter. Unless absolutely forced to, which thankfully has never happened.

I'm not buddhist but they have it right with the not killing shit. The only thing I will kill on sight is a red wasp because fuck them. One of those bitches put me in anaphylactic shock a few years back. And they will absolutely attack you unprovoked.

I’m cool with bees and wasps. I doubt my dog would kill a groundhog but he would sure make them reconsider their residence.
We have a healthy fox population in the neighborhood too which I’m sure helps

Groundhogs are a pest. They can undermine structures, of which I have many, on piers. They also undermine the riverbank. I watched a ledge, probably 15' long, 6' wide and 20' deep collapse into the river on the other side a few weeks back. They also shut down a major artery here not too far away for about 2 months undermining a corner that was in a river bend. I go to a lot of trouble to shore things up and try to keep them in certain areas and out of others. We have foxes, but not a lot of them. I've never seen one on the property. My back yards are basically an animal sanctuary. Primarily birds, but also squirrels, raccoons, rabbits and other small mammals. I spend a lot of time running off stray cats and the occasional coyote, but I haven't had to kill anything in the 25 years I've been here.

On the other hand I had to , eh, convince a drunk fucker to go back to the highway Friday night. I might have been a little more polite about it except I had a bunch of kids geeking out with about $1000 worth of fireworks and I wasn't about to let some dickbag make a scene in front of them. My compassion for living things is a great deal diminished when it comes to humans. Especially pieces of shit. I think they call it misanthropic, but whatever it is I have a very difficult time not seeing humans in general as cockroaches. And contrary to what you think I do actually try not to be violent, albeit not always successfully. In my defense though they always have it coming.

Humans are by far the largest invasive species the planet has yet to encounter. And it’s not even close.
violence is almost always a choice, and you bring it up a lot. Unless running (or ignoring) is not an option, it’s a choice

Yeah, who's disputing that? I said I try to avoid it, not I will avoid it at all costs.

As someone you claim deserves a punch in the face on the regular, I’ve never seen myself in a situation where violence was even a remote consideration.
Take from that what you will
