Kerrville getting hit hard, 24 dead and counting. 23 children still missing from Camp Mystic. A month ago Canyon Lake was at it's lowest level since it was built and now it is headed towards being full. They sent engineers out there to inspiect the dam....that's not exactly confidence inspiring..When it hits 940 feet it's max filled, it's at 900 now and the rain keeps coming. though I am told it's shifted south so the flow into the Guadalupe and Lake may decrease.

Georgetown now having areas evacuate due to flooding in the San Gabriel river.

I'm gonna head down the hill later for some beverages and check the low water crossings. It's still raining pretty good here. Final mix of my record today, doing it in a "Texas Flood".

They recovered the body of a 9 year old camper this a.m.

Another kid had been up in a tree for 7-8 hours and was rescued.

Potential for additional central TX flooding if the storm stalls out in the area.

Water rescues being performed in western Travis county...

This is already worse than the '15 Wimberley flood and it's not over.

At least 43 dead now, including about 14-15 kids from the camp I think. Hard to sort out who all is missing when there were also a bunch of rv parks along the Guadalupe in Kerrville. Some got out, others didn't and the office gets washed away so say bye to the record of who all was staying there. There are rains expected tomorrow and there has been flash flooding in Austin, San Antonio, and New Braunfels yesterday and today.

81 confirmed dead. And.....

It's becoming part of the conversation that cloud seeding operations have been taking place in counties with proximity to the affected areas. I was able to confirm those cloud seeding operations through google AI. Bandera county is just south of Kerr county and is one of the counties who has contracted to cloud seed. Silver iodide....

Come on man. This is a horrible tragedy. Don't pollute it with bullshit conspiracies.

It is a horrible tragedy and perhaps too early to discuss, but don't be so quick to dismiss potential suspects. Could be mother nature or rather evil men tinkering with things they shouldn't.

Several Texas counties participate in cloud seeding programs. The South Texas Weather Modification Association (STWMA) operates in ten counties: Atascosa, Bandera, Bee, Bexar, Frio, Karnes, McMullen, Medina, Uvalde, and Wilson. Additionally, the Trans Pecos Weather Modification Association (TPWMA) targets counties west of the Pecos River, including Culberson, Loving, Pecos, Reeves, and Ward counties. The Panhandle Groundwater Conservation District focuses on the eastern part of the Texas Panhandle, including Carson, Gray, Wheeler, Armstrong, Donley, Roberts, and parts of Hemphill, Potter, and Hutchinson counties.

AI Overview

Cloud seeding in Texas primarily involves using aircraft to release silver iodide into specific types of clouds to enhance rainfall. This technique is used in various parts of Texas, particularly during the growing season in the western part of the state, to potentially increase water supplies. The process is not a solution to drought but rather a water management tool, and it's typically funded by local sponsors at the water district or county level.
