This is the hottest summer i remember and it's just early July, temps in the 90s and dewpoints in the 70s week after week. A delightful break yesterday when it stayed in the 70s but dewpoint still made it a sweaty day...and of course back to the high 80s - 90s for the foreseeable future. I love working outside but have come close to sun stroke several times...get dizzy & wobbly, sit down & drink water for a few minutes.

The last three seasons around my parts, the farmers have all been installing drain tile in their fields due to the excessive moisture.
You always see areas within the corn fields where standing water kept crops from growing.

Fun fact...drain tile was invented/developed here in the Finger Lakes.
We even have a museum on E. Lake Road in Geneva.

Climate change is real and is caused by the burning of fossil fuels.

Explain the ice age 10,000 years ago and the baby ice age in the 1400s. There has man many years where there wasn't a summer. Long before coal and gas.

Wasn't Florida supposed to be under water by now?

I used to thing climate change was man made. But the climate is always changing. Just be thankful temps are going up. Because temps going down isn't survivable. Then again, Antartica gained ice this year.

I agree education has been on a steady decline for quite a while. Silly to think it has anything to do with being woke, but that’s your thing man, I get it.
So to quote myself again, “it’s going to get worse”. Kids are way smarter now than they were in the 70s, they have to be. But where we are slipping is compared to the rest of the world.

Even if we knew for sure it was man made, how do you stop China, India, Russia, all of Africa and South America from polluting and burning as much coals as possible? China doesn't give a fuck about anything. They are depleting the ocean of fish at an alarming rate.
