No, I was responding to someone who brought up my vehicles, claiming that I drove a gas car and therefore shouldn't discuss the facts around climate change. It's just a fact that I own 3 EVs. Not really a flex, only one was expensive. Anyways, have a great day.

Exactly. CO2 was identified as a greenhouse gas (one that traps heat) in 1856 by Eunice Foote.
An American scientist, she was the first to demonstrate experimentally that CO₂ and water vapor can trap heat. Her work was largely overlooked at the time due to her gender.

How wet and humid our region has become.
How we dont get much snow to mention anymore.

Heres my OP:

Growing up in NYS my entire life, we’ve had pretty great weather.
We get all four seasons.

Obviously up north, we were known for snowfall.

But here in the Finger Lakes the weather has always been great in my years.

Today though, really in the last ten years or so, we definitely get less snow. Not really much to talk about.
Winter is mainly cold and cloudy.

Our summers these days I’d consider tropical.
Hot and humid. Definitely more moisture.

We now get tornado warnings…and some actually land.

Yesterday though, there were no warnings.
No alarms coming over our phones.

My grandfather worked at the hydro plant on Black River, Id get to go in with him once and a while.
I can still remember the wall of pressure gauges. Looked so cool.

But for a single home, I find it interesting.

His electricity comes in like everyone else’s. It’s just generated by hydro. New Zealand exports shit tons of coal and oil and gas though.
