Superleads are the main heads ran into Suhr load boxes, 2 JCM's power 2 lower cabs each in stereo and 2 Matrix 1000FX power 2 upper cabs each stereo, total of 8 live cabs!
Shure wireless units may or may not be used..hope to see some of you make it out to the shows!

What are those extra knobs on the JCM 800s? Also who built the rig?

Curious what you use for ear protection, if you guys hit Michigan I’ll try to show up

Serious baddassery, Al. Thanks for posting. Hey, what pickup or pickups do you use live with DLR? I love the Ed vibe you play with...not many can get there.
Been listening to Van Halen since they came out in '78 when I was 16. I'm an old fart now. Ed was and is still my guy. My hat's off to you, Sir. Bravo!

Small tweaks, Friedman did 2 of the Main amps and Suhr the other, basically SL68 spec, no Jose or gain mods

None of the extra knobs are being utilized since the JCM's are only used for power, only the presence and the effects return knobs work, my guitar tech custom ordered those amp rack cases and put it all together, he formerly worked for EVH on a couple of tours, so I'm in good hands!

That’ll sound awesome!

I slept on the tix and now looking them up for Turning Stone casino, tix prices are a bit more than I’d spend.
Should have purchased when I knew DLR was scheduled.

Just down the NYS Thruway for me…
 
Killer!! Are the Superleads vintage or reissues? The top one has the third polarity switch like mine — so it looks like ‘67-‘69 ish, I’d guess

That is such a smoking rig. I can imagine how glorious it is standing in front of that.

Hey Al!

Are the Superleads on variacs with underbias for brown sound? Are you using 6CA7’s? Kind of rad to have Friedman style 4x12’s on bottom and EVH up top. I bet that rig satisfies like nothing else! So great to see the great spirit of Rig-Talk express: a rig fit for DLR is what I’m talking about! Haha!
