Building Boogie 33 Mark 1 to MK7 History

How much of this is actually about amps?

I stopped watching these after the first few and he was going on about cars or something.

So the re-issue 2c+ circuit board has all the provisions for the ++ mod already on the board....just add the parts?
Edit: listen @ 22:45 on the video

Ok. I'm not familiar with what is involved in ++-ing a C+.
it sounded like he put some extra solder pads and traces on the board to add the parts for the ++ mod.
He says: "just a couple of parts values changed, then a resistor and a cap."

Unless you guys ask the Mesa Mark IIC+ owners club, in which case it's also some magical fairy dust and the knowledge about where to apply it that's been lost to the ages, meaning their original models are definitely worth the price because the reissue isn't even the same thing...

Very interesting, I really appreciate his enthusiasm and excitement for the craft. I am a little surprised he didn't mention the JP2C as it is so well designed and highly regarded.

The part about the transformers I found interesting. We all know they downsized their power transformers during the Mark III's, but I didn't realize they were made of a much more efficient material that put them on par with the big old ones. Big Iron ain't all it's chalked up to be.
