Ozzy died…

Last time I reply to you ... as I said very few would have heard of Bob's work in heep, and yes more would have known him from Gary Moore, but gary was "the name" so fuck all people would dig deeper into who helped write the songs. And yes randy was known in part of LA but ZERO PEOPLE had heard of him outside of LA ... there is a world outside of LA and America. And just FYI..the Randy QR albums were never sold outside of Japan until well after he died
Best to put Floyd on ignore.

Best for you. Because you’re too god damn stupid to make a coherent argument and you’re tired of looking like a retard.

Randy Rhoads era QR was so massive they never played a single show outside of California ... yeah the world sure would have known who he was if he didn't get the Ozzy gig

Objectively spekaing the Perry Mason chorus is better and catchier than say the chorus in "Believer"....

This is very true, especially when you take into account the fact that "Believer" doesn't actually have a chorus. :p

You think a guitarist of Randy’s caliber who was already known as one of the two best guitarists in Southern California would have ended up unknown if not for Ozzy. You’re an idiot.

What’s also true is that “ a catchy chorus” is what he thinks is important. Very odd coming from someone who’s username has the word Metal in it.

The wokesters are going to ruin this thread too.

And the wokesters even have their own Ozzy thread they can go ruin.

Don't get me wrong, I like a "catchy chorus" as much as anyone and it's usually my favorite part of a given song. I was simply pointing out that "Believer" doesn't have a chorus.

Also, Metal and "catchy chorus" and not mutually exclusive.

Congrats @Fusionbear I'm sure you will make it honorable

Well, it was a blast and I feel we honored Ozzy.

I don't have clips as they were not made public. I ended up playing on about 12-13 songs. We played some deep Sabbath cuts from Sabotage and Technical Ectasy as well as the Blizzard and Diary tunes. The only tunes I didn't play was the downtuned tunes. Forgot to bring a guitar in C#.

Here is a quick screenshot of what it looked like. There were at least 50 people in attendance. There were a lot of monster players there. I can't believe the opportunity I had to play with these guys and gal. The gal who sang a a few tunes leads the all female tribute to Dio called Dia

By the way, used my Splawn Streetrod 1x12 Combo loaded with a Scumback J75. No pedals in front and a simple Maxon AD999 in the loop. The amp was awesome and plenty loud. I love this amp!

One funny thing happened while I was playing Over the Mountain. I broke out in a nosebleed. Bled on my shirt, strap and guitar.... lol... I finished the song but excused myself to the bathroom as soon as the song ended to clean up...lol...

Awesome! Sounds like it was fun! (Except the nose bleed)
I've heard good things about splawns with scumbacks.
Way back in the day I used to get nosebleeds once in a while. Found out it was because of my baseboard heating making room dry. Thankfully I moved shortly after.

Sure, but there’s a reason why it’s called a hook.

I suppose really this is all my fault for forgetting that there are a lot of 80s hair band “ chuggsters” here. I reckon guys who are 2-5 years younger than me. When bands like Poison and Skid Row were all over the strip I was definitely not into it. I’d just got there from Tampa where I was hanging out with the guys from Morbid Angel and Nasty Savage. So my opinion on what’s metal is gonna be different than some of these guys.

I just remember hearing bands like Bon Jovi and Winger and Ratt and absolutely fucking hating it. And in my opinion Ozzy at that time was riding that wave. And yeah, everyone I knew or hung with thought of it as pussy rock.

Look at this badass here

Trey of Morbid Angel also plays with dolls. Not a real glowing endorsement if your whole beef with other metal sub-genres being pussy rock because it doesn't match your heaviness preferences. Go touch grass.

Your definition of pussy shit is definitely different than mine if you think Perry Mason is heavy.
It's heavy for Ozzy, yes. By the way I'm into all sorts of death metal so that is my standard of what is heavy. But for Ozzys material I consider Perry Mason one of his heaviest.

Yeah I guess I always considered "You've got to believe in yourself
'Cause no one will believe in you", the chorus. It could be seen as the bridge to another bridge but that's splitting hairs.

But that's besides my original point 😄

Our idea of heavy is definitely different. To me that’s pop metal. Not even as heavy as most Sabbath or either of those first two albums. Couple clicks heavier than Whitesnake. 😉

See avatar.

Never said they were my favorite band but if you think Perry Mason is heavier, like that other dude synthomia, you’re a retard.
