WTF would the jack panel on a 4x12 be...

If you turn it upside down then it causes havoc for shorter people

Amen...I can't imagine buying a new 4x12. I do seem to bring home another used one every week or 2 tho
Buy a bunch more and then build your retirement cabin out of them. Pour a slab and then lag them to the slab and one to another. I thought about doing that with Twin Reverbs.

I used to grab every $400 1960 cab but I had to stop—there is always one within an hour or so. I’ve sold a whole lotta Celestion 75s

Lol, that's awesome. If I had some more bucks I'd probably have a couple more 67-68-69 Twins cause it's a classic Fender for a little over a grand.

You ain’t lyin—I was eyeballing a few this weekend. I have a ton of ‘Marshall’ amps—in 10yrs we are going to be kicking ourselves cause BF Fenders are going to be insane price wise

Another guy I was talking to claimed in ten years there will still be no one that wants them lol but personally I think at some point they'll see renewed interest cause it's a)vintage b)cheap and c) was basically the top of the line pro Fender amp so the barrier to entry is low. A cranked twin sounds killer with buckers. My suggestion is if you grab one, even though you can generally save a couple hundred grabbing a 1970 NMV that you get a sixties one because "60's" will be worth more later. I'd love to have a another '69 and then have @griff10672 recover them both with the snakeskin. Just my two cents....

Not many rigs out there sound better than a good Fender guitar through a good Fender amp. Early silverface are still out there and pretty cheap

But don’t do the snakeskin thing lol

A strat gives you SRV-Jimi sounds with a tubescreamer or blues driver. An ES puts you in BB and Freddie King territory and a Les Paul puts you into that Mike Bloomfield zone. There isn't much to having a tech blackface them. My favorite speaker is the K-120 in them cause it sounds like a D but takes more abuse. I need one more K to get it done.

Charlie Daniels twin is for sale on reverb right now, loaded with k's. A little spendy but a cool amp and piece of history.

I’m not cool enough to own that
You def are cool enough to own that. What's kind of interesting is that if you could get it for 3k you aren't really paying much more than a grand for the Charlie Daniels provenance since it's loaded with K's. He died five year ago so I could see it adding some good long term value. I'd be tempted if I had the cash. Looks cool and it's K-120 loaded....
