My brother hooked me up with this awhile back and I love it. 😻 anyway it has one input and two outputs. I’m having a hard time wrapping my head around this. How would I use this with two amps?leave everything in line as it is now with my one amp but how would I utilize the second output? Just into the loop of the second amp? Guitar-tuner-phase 90-Mxr od-rt rat-shaky Jimi-spaceman eq-noise clamp-aby-aby a to ns2-mxr eq-micro chorus-micro flanger-dd6-sonic stomp-amp.
Aby b-ban hammer-amp input with boss ms3 in the loop. Kinda complicated but it works and sounds glorious. When I run three amps at once I add another aby and run other stuff to amp 3. anyway do basically unhook everything from amp 2 and just run the second out from the mxr into the second amps send? Anyway thought I’d ask before blowing myself up or something…and don’t laugh..my setup works for me…😜😂

Just sends out two signal chains. I guess you can be creative with it.

I generally use mine to split the signal for various reasons. For example, if I put it in the loop of one amp, and then run the second output to the power amp of a second amp for stereo.

Another way I use it is to run my tube amps through a loadbox, then then put into this EQ, come out stereo into a stereo effects processor, and then into a stereo poweramp for reamping in stereo.

Put the EQ at the end of the chain into two amps. That’s all you can do.
End chain of everything......

And I know it may sound stupid but if you stack a 6 band EQ which actually has more cut and boost in frequencies....... and stack it with a 10 band at the end of chain......... your set for nothing but pure gold...... never tried it but yeah would be amazing I figure......

I prefer the 6 band but in either case EQ at the end of chain has always worked for me and IMO preferred than at the front or like a boost.

Have not fired it up yet but put it at the end of the chain. Everything normal into my 6505 but ran a line from out #2 into the send of my Windsors loop. Unplugged everything else going to the Windsor.

Odd. Barely any sound running into the pv’s send. Running into the high gain input with the pre gain at about 9 and mv at 9 also. Tones at 12, reso and presence at noon also. Full power on texture. It works that way….🤔🤪

So is it still giving you trouble or is it smooth now?

It’s fine… I just don’t understand why it’s not working through the loop.
That is troublesome may want to contact MXR and or amp manufacturer...... maybe something is being overlooked

Otherwise yeah while your at it and if you have some time what I did when I got my EQ aside from move it to the end or near end......

Is to get familiar with your signal now that you have the EQ. Plug straight into amp..... play for a bit.....

Then plug into pedal board and into amp..... A/B plugged straight into amp vs using board..... see if you hear a diff..... after you do that....

Use plugged straight into amp as a baseline tone as a baseline..... start adding pedals into the chain one by one..... see if you hear a diff as you add them in one by one..... again use plugged straight into amp tone as a baseline.

For me when I did this it made me realize how much tone suck a tuner gave in the front so I actually have that at the end of the chain right after the 6 Band EQ...... the tone is better to my ears, less muddy, dark and more articulate etc etc..... some people may want darker and do the opposite and it really is relative in that sense and its up to players discretion and players choice at that point.

Players choice, players discretion, players rig, players tone
