Working on this:
What pickups?
Do tell….
looks great. Grain on both the body and neck looks really nice.
Genuine question: why opt for a floating two point non-locking trem instead of a locking two point floating trem (Floyd). I've always felt the non-locker has all the downsides but none of the upside compared to a Floyd.
You sir are a man of refined taste and integrity. I am proud to call you my friend and brother…Roasted Ash body with a Marbled Padouk top. It is very light. Body just over three pounds. Warhead neck is roasted Maple with an Indian Rosewood fretboard. Gibson scale. Medium SS frets, 9-14 radius, standard thin profile
Nice build! I also appreciate anyone that's more than likely close to my age still rocking checkerboard Vans!

Love the guitar, you always have great taste. I know each guitar is different, but how would you describe the difference in tone between a full locking setup and a non-locking bridge?I agree about the benefits of a FR. I have three guitars with them. But there is a different tone with non-locking trems. My non-lockers stay in tune very well. Just a different tool for the job is all....
I know for me, I find guitars with locking nuts always feel stiffer than those without them. That would be one reason for me to use a non-locking trem. They usually play better in terms of a flexible feel.looks great. Grain on both the body and neck looks really nice.

For me FR loaded guitars feel looser and non-locking feel tighter.
The biggest difference is that non locking seem to have more color in the overall tone. FR loaded are more direct and pure. I like both. Lately, my FR loaded guitars are the most played. But this woodcaster feels really good ... we will see where it ends up...
