Official Mesa IIC++ Reissue?

Dann Val made an outstanding video demonstrating what causes the oscillation. I can’t believe this wasn’t figured out sooner considering how simple it is. Maybe some people knew, but they just didn’t want to deal with posting about it…

There are a lot of threads on the mark iic++ by now, but this is the main thread, so I just wanted to update it.

TLDR: Remove 2nd power tube and unplug the reverb! The oscillation is caused by the reverb circuit sharing a tube with main circuit. No mods required, just simply plug it back in if you want to sell your amp

Just a note to plug back in the power tube after you’ve pulled the reverb preamp tube.

for being excited for some good news about an amp I own and consolidating the information on to the main thread? Or did I miss something?
 
Surprisingly few for sale in used market at the moment. Wondering how many ++s are still on their way to the dealers worldwide?

I'm actually a bit surprised by this. The ones that were listed sold for $6-7k, which is an easy $2-3k in profit. It's tempting to flip at that price point.

Indeed. Maybe, and I hope, the amp is so good nobody wants to sell it. 😁 No new updates of the one I bought around 4 weeks ago from German retailer. The last info was that a shipment from Mesa should arrive somewhere around mid/end of August.

There are a dozen or so waiting for tarriffs to clear up before getting to Canada.
