Anyone completely change to the synergy rig?

It is very accurate but that's dependant on power amp. It was close through a 6505, less so through a Carvin Legacy, and almost dead nuts through my Mark VII. The little sliders are touchy tobget set right but worth the tinkering.
 
I have not completely switched to a Synergy rig, but that is all that I have been playing for the past couple of years. Still have some other amps on the shelf, but the Synergy rig sounds great to me. Better than my MTS days from what I can remember. Still wish I had the JF Brahma that was my #1 to see if it would hold up though.

My other amps would get more love if I could get behind my rack easier! Need to rearrange some things to make that happen. Still have not even plugged in the R5 footswitch that landed a few weeks ago because I don't want to F with getting back there.
 
I got 2 Friedman 1x12's, the red JEL models. I got rid of the JEL 20 head.
Was thinking of using them with a Synergy setup. I can't get past the $899 for the Synergy double docking station.

Years ago I had a Synergy setup with the double docking station, a Vai and Bogner Ecstasy modules thru a Boss TAE. Was killer.

I liked my rm100, but my regular old dual rec was better. The uber module i got to try, was way better! Miles ahead of the old stuff, and my bud said the kali sounds more like my Engl savage head, so i got that one.
The syn1 will be here Tuesday so i can a/b them at band practice.

You can find the Syn 2 on the used market around 600.00 to 650.00 when they do pop up for sale..

I started with the SYN-1 and still have it. One thing that I noticed is that master on the SYN-1 starts to compress earlier than the master on the SYN-2. At least on the examples that I have. On the SYN-2, turning up the master makes it louder and seems to have more headroom than the SYN-1. The SYN-1's master doesn't get much louder past noon, but I get a nice little squish to the tone that sounds like a power section is pushing to it's limit.

I liked that about the SYN-1 so I am keeping it along with the SYN-2 just to mix things up here and there.
 
yep. I've still got my Shiva, 101b, and a few others, don't think i'll sell them ever, but live rig is either the 20IR or the Syn-2 with my Fryette PS2a.

Yep, I have one of these. I bought his other one a few years ago. I modified it for a depth control. It is like 18" deep and weighs about 50 pounds. It is a tank.

It is supposed to be a copy of the 2150 or 2/90/2 . It sounds pretty massive.

It's a bummer that the Vai and the LE Soldano are the only modules with color.

I have a SYN-1 for recording and the SYN-30 combo with the 112 extension cab.

Love this system.
 
I'm pretty close to pulling the trigger on a SYN2 and the 800 module. Gonna run it into the power amp of my DSL. I figure the 800 is a good starting point, and I can decide on a second module later.

I like the system and I don’t. All the Synergy modules have this weird upper mid thing going on and once I heard it, I couldn’t unhear it. The Modules seem to lack the low-mids of the amps they were based on. I also have a bunch of modded modules from my Randall days. My faves are the CCV and Rockerverb clones.

My fav Synergy module is the Deliverance followed my the SLO mk1. I use the TDLX as a clean and pedal platform. The Savage I keep for modern stuff.

Fwiw, the poweramp matters a lot! Through my Fryette PS-100 the TDLX sounds great. Conversely, when I plugged it into my Splawn, it sounded WAY TOO HOT.

I had the Killer Kali for a couple of months and sold it after I got the Splawn. For me, my splawn just felt better… and I also have the CCV.

I have a pair of KHE Amp switchers and have 2 SYN2’s on one of the channels. So haven’t completely gone Synergy but do love the stuff. I have the Syn2’s going into a KSR Power Amp 100 (6L6’s) and it sounds glorious. I have the Bogner XTC, Uber, Diezel Herbert, VH4, Killer Cali, IICP+ and Vai.
Spend 90% off the time on the Uber, my favorite of them.

The uber i played through was massive yet tight. Honestly better than my bogner. I got the kali as it sounded closer to the savage that i own. Will be able to a/b them this week. Ill try to do a short video of them before i decide. Just waiting in my syn1 to come in.
