I don't really believe it is flat. Just cause someone believes differently on one issue doesn't mean they are wrong about something else. "Guitars are awesome". I don't believe you cause you think space isn't reeeeel.
I love you bro. Have a good Labour day.

Bull fucking shit.
Local police station, 2 million to build conventionally.
Add in "green construction", price went to 8 million to build.
Someone is making money off of this shit
And it's not "big oil"
Is there a breakdown of what can be reused/no longer reused if they go the “green” route.
More often than not the upfront costs are high because everything is new. (Electric distribution, panel, hvac, etc) and not really that much more expensive than if you were replacing the same things with oil again.

The savings afterwards are undeniable though once you go more “green”
I love oil and it largely keeps me employed but it’s a big fucking waste.

Everything would have been new either way, it was a completely different site a couple miles away.

They should get another number.
2million is crazy low though.

I have an upcoming court case with one of the “leaders” in geothermal because their shit doesn’t work, but I still think it is the only course forward at the moment

That's weird, geothermal is well established technology that absolutely works. Did they just fuck it up?

Yea the programming of it is terrible. It’s a huge building with a lot of redundancy and lead/lag that was not done right.

We have massive geothermal activity in NZ and that heat is used both directly to heat homes, and to produce clean electricity. I guess they should have hired a Kiwi conpany to set up their building. 😂

The tech has finally gotten good enough for us to use it for heat here in the northeast, but it’s still kinda on the edge for people who install them.
its taking so long to get this all dialed in because the technicians are like half a days drive away

I don't listen to hypocrites and the entire green movement is full of them.
So, if some hypocrite who doesn't even play guitar says "Guitars are Awesome!", would you quit playing guitar? Same logic. The existence of a few hypocrites doesn't disprove the truth behind the science (and obvious observation of anyone paying attention)..

Yep, there will always be hiccups with new technology. I remember when heat pumps were new, there were problems mainly due to poorly trained installers. Now they are well established and are going in by the millions.

It's a tiny town with very few officers

I see lots of solar and wind installations going up right alongside my energy bill so that's not being proven true in the real world. The same people selling green energy and environmentalism are putting up server farms in places where the demand for energy, and water, is straining available resources. It's all about control. If those people gave a shit about the environment they'd put a leash on china and india but those are the places making them rich via slave labor.
That has more to do with the privatization of power companies than the economics of wind and solar. In places where utilities are publicly owned, adding solar and wind has only driven prices down. Because they don't have a profit motive at the expense of their own people.

It's just a graft man. Anything driven by government is rife with kickbacks and inside arrangements. Kind of like all those billions that went into building a handful of electric car charging stations. The money went into pockets. Very green if you ask me or them, lol.
Wait until you look into the government corruption in the oil industry...or will you?

Or it could be incompetent democrat governors who are obsessed with global warming and getting kickbacks from green companies.

You live near St. Louis, a huge metro, what do you expect? No offense but these are problems related to choices you've made less than they are tied to a lack of rural areas. You could sell tomorrow. Most of the southwest is empty. You could head south into N Arkansas, place has all kinds of isolated areas and plenty of wood to cut and water to access. And tbh I pretty much feel the same way, living amongst 15 million people in central Texas. And it's growing. But, if you want employment opportunities then short of farming you need to be in proximity to an area where there are people and money providing those opportunities. Everything is a trade off. It's a matter of deciding what is most important to you.
Near enough to drive in to work. Still about an hour south. In a rural area.
