it's gonna cost you...
not a bad price compared to some others

The cost isn't the problem if they actually produce the guitar I want. I'll make payments on a 6-7k guitar but I'll be damned if I'm making payments on a woodtick shaped AAAAA top guitar like you posted. I mean, they are nice, but not worth taking on that debt load cause I like my ES'. And if it's just a 4-5k Gibson ES I'd rather just save the cash and get the same quality/tone from an Edwards, Seventy Seven, or IBG Epi. I'd like to see them do an SE Golden Sky because it would shut Gibson down in quality for the money and increase their market share, which would force Gibson into stepping up their own game.it's gonna cost you...
Ok, I actually dig this;

Yeah, that's going to be the name of the 355 styled PRS. Byrdland are killer but have crappy upper fret access where a 335 shines.Golden Sky?
How about a Gibson Byrdland?

Doesn't look to bad but just a guess those pickups would have to go. The seventy seven exrubato has had my interest for a while, especially the older 100% Japan models. I was this closeDid you look at Sire Larry Carton sig H7 models; they have hardtails and trem systems; humbuckers, filtertrons or p90s; nickel chrome or gold hardware...?

Under $1K while you wait for the PRS golden sky.

I was this closeto pulling the trigger, and should have, on a sunburst one but the dude tried to get me for an extra hundred so I walked. So I'm just waiting for PRS to deliver this time....
I like this advice. I'm on it!!!To get PRS attention, you'd need someone like Lee Anderton, or the CEO of Sweetwater, etc., who can move large volumes of guitars...I'm sure they have influence on what guitar models are made.
I was just saying, the big retailers have sales and market data that they can share with manufacturers. Manufacturers should use that data to determine what products to make.I like this advice. I'm on it!!!
It's good advice. I have already started to lean on PRS. Paul, if you are Reeding this, let's get it rolling brougham!I was just saying, the big retailers have sales and market data that they can share with manufacturers. Manufacturers should use that data to determine what products to make.
I hate P-90s almost as much as I hate the Beatles.
Same, it's either pretty sappy boy band stuff or goofy studio albums that can't be recreated live. Not really a fan at all but I will say the stuff they made separately seems more listenable to be me than anything they made as a band. I guess I'm not a baby boomer so it's over my head, before my time, and outta my tax bracket.I don't get the Beatles at all.... except they came out at the right time, but I think there music is... meh
Some guys sound amazing through them. I have had a couple different sets and they were nice sounding but didn't suit my style for whatever reason.P-90's I haven't quite figured out, more balls then a Single Coil, Not as much balls as a Humbucker, but you still get to enjoy the single coil noise...
I contacted Sweetwater today. It might take a year or two of putting the pressure on them but I'm on it. These are great ideas. I will definitely put this to use in due time. Start small and get a snowball effect happening.PRS has an official YT channel: https://www.youtube.com/@prsguitars you can start posting what you want on their official videos; others may comment in agreement.
you can post comments on YT gear shill channels saying what you want and see if they take the bait, or other commenters agree with you.
...like a social media grass roots effort.
