Inflation did go up. It just that it's been brought back down again by the world's reserve banks by increasing increasing the cash rate. If you say inflation is lower than last year - yes of course it is but it's five years since the lockdowns now and it's coming back down. However with Trump's tariffs you risk inflation going back up because your prices will go up due to the tariffs. The reserve banks have been progessively bringing the cash rate back down but again it's been years since the lockdowns now. Over here the reserve bank has stalled giving cuts to interest rates because they are waiting to see how your tariffs affect the world economy,

So what drugs are you on saying it's lies? or even democrat lies when it comes to inflation going up. It went up.

Anyway it's not the lockdowns that caused inflation, it was the massive government stimulus (spending) that was pumped into the economies of the world to keep everyone going during lockdowns. Also things were more scarce in terms of supply.

Companies and countries want access to the American Economy/Market and are investing and deals have also been made while at the same time demand is coming down as a result of tariffs cutting the fat and lowering inflation.......

The flow on effect from Tariffs generally creeps in slowly and will probably be felt later in the year when their flow on effects go through your economy.

When Trump says Powell is "too late" and a "total disaster he's playing you for fools and playing politics.

All the world's reserve banks rely on historical data to guage the economy and they adjust the cash rate based on that historical data. Historical data is "past data" by definition. So all reserve banks are open to being accused of "being late"... They have to analyse the data and predict where it is going into the future and they are generally conservative and are wary of letting inflation getting out of control.

What Trump is doing is a huge experiment and he himself does not know what effects it will have. Neither does Powell and Powell being a good reserve bank Governor is watching the employment and inflation data etc and being wary. Trump by undermining the independence of the reserve bank is playing a dangerous game.

You need to understand Trump is a politician. You also need to respect people like Powell because he is being responsible and making sure things don't get out of control.

Um yeah I did do Economics at an American College with Professors in the best Business program West of the Mississippi....... At Fullerton College.......



Nvm the BS....... I was also one of only two students in Econ 101B to get the M1 and M2 money supply question right in an exam....... Out of a bunch of other students and 80-90+ students in a lecture hall that happened to be bound for UCLA, Stanford etc etc......


Nvm the BS and you come back when you take a real College Econ Class....... Or do that much better relative to degenerate Ivy League McDonalds retards : P

All the Fed reserve does is analyse the various trends and uses it to forecast inflation etc and uses interest rates a blunt instrument to control inflation. Take away their independence and all sorts of shit could happen including runaway inflation. Politicians should stay out of their decision making. People like Trump and even the lefties here in Australia hate the reserve bank because it can make them look bad when they inflict pain on the electorate to fix up the bad policies of the government. So I can't get more balanced than that. The lefties here and Trump the rightwing neo-fascist both hate their respective "fed reserves". Two different countries - two different sides of politics - two different fed reserves.... same attempted interference.
