What Plugs Are You Using?

This thread is going to go sideways pretty quick...

What plugs do you guys like for you cable ends. I'm ordering a bunch of Square Plugs for a board I'm rewiring. We went through a bunch of options and that's what he went with. I've really been digging Amphenol plugs lately a lot. You guys using Switchcraft? Neutrik? GLS?

Neutrik, specifically the ones with chuck-type strain relief. The crimp style that switchcraft use, I've had the cable pull out of. It wasn't a switchcraft BUT it didn't look like the issue was the metal flexing, just that style not being able to grip. Neutrik's strain relief, on the other hand, bites harder the more the cable tries to escape.

anything on my board = Squareplug

cables for guitar or amps = Neutrik .... I like the BPX ones that let you color code them two different ways

For my pedal board I use George L's been using them for over 10 years and yet to have one crap out on me.

For my board, I really, really like the SP400s with my BTPA cabling. Second to none there. After trying several, I enjoy Switchcraft for my instrument cables.

The ones what Analog.Man sends me with their pedals.

Dammit I thought this was going to be about plugins.

Alls I know about plugs is that back in the day Neutrik & Switchcraft were the bee's knees.

I like the Rean RP2RCF for my pedalboard, cheap and small, easy to work with. The rean stuff is fine but I prefer not to use it for a cable that will get plugged/unplugged constantly as the plating is not as robust as nicer more expensive plugs.

Switchcraft for straight plugs and speaker cables.

I have a neutrik silent plug for my main guitar cable, so convenient. Neutrik’s strain relief weirds me out though.

I haven't had much luck with Rean. I used some of their 3.5mm female jacks for headphone extension cables and had some crap out. It could have also been me though. I loved the Switchcraft until I happened into a pile of Amphenol connectors in a bulk deal. I like them more than Switchcraft and Neutrik.

I just did the NGK Lazer Iridium plugs in my Honda. I cried when I bought them. That could have been a new guitar pedal for that kinda money.
Yeah they are crazy expensive now. The ones I get are the VPower. Used to be $3.00 a plug. Now 5.81 each x8. Running nitrous tends to go thru them alittle more often.

Rock Auto is cheapest I have found for them. Not by mich after shippimg though.
