My cousin had a guitar he has had in his shop for years and I got a great deal on it. Once it has a setup I know it will play and sound great. It says Made in the U.S.A. but my paranoia makes me think otherwise but who knows. I didn't pay a lot for it but would like to know. Thanks!

There's almost no way the USA model would have came with a FR Special

I'm thinking someone took the import model and tried to make it "look" like the USA model with the decals

Doesn't mean it's a shit guitar (necessarily) - just a dishonest one

FR Special, 24 frets? His signatures are only 22. The serial number is super suspect as well, the font for it on the neck plate does not look right. Back of the neck and headstock should be satin, and the front of the headstock should be a pretty clear poly.

This looks like a fake to me.

Thanks everyone! Yeah that's what I figured. Too many thiblngs were not lining up. But I got it for a few hundred and might be a decent guitar once I set it up.

The Indonesian imports are actually pretty decent guitars. Lotsa bang for the buck. The older ones have rosewood boards.
