Yes Vancouver has alot of drugs but not as much gang shit.
I live on the west island of Montreal so very little crime here. Cost of living is higher in west end.
I live a couple counties outside of STL. The vast majority of crime here is drug use/possession. Politically it's red as a mother fucker. All the blue areas in this state are shitholes. Which tracks since those are the most populated areas.

I drove down to Florida twice a year for 20 years. Used to stay in Jacaranda golf platation in Fort Lauderdale, Daytona Beach and St Petersburg. Usually drive straight through but sometimes stopped in West Virginia or North Carolina as it is a 24 hour drive. I remember one time we pulled off the 95 to fill up in a panic and we drove through a few rough areas in Georgia and Washington. The guy at gas station told me I should get back to the interstate as fast as I can lol.

I hitch hiked through Macon when I was 15. It was pretty rough. And I lived in Tampa a couple times in the 80s. Tampa was pretty fucked up. Especially Ybor City. I always liked St. Petersburg.

Crazy story....... one time my buddy and I stopped in Daytona at a little shit hole motel called Cardinal right on strip. We checked in and went to bar down the road. Came back ripped and went to sleep. I always tucked my wallet under the bureau and my buddy laughed at me. We woke up in am and both our pants were missing! Someone snuck into our room and took our pants which were on the floor next to the beds but didn't go into out luggage!
We called cops and they found our pants in parking lot and my buddies Wallet on a park bench. They didn't get my wallet! My buddy said damn now I know why you hid it under bureau!

I stayed in a hotel on the corner of Sligh and Nebraska in Tampa for awhile. They rummaged through it every time we left.

I have an old bandmate who lives in Ybor today. He says the neighbors are great, a mix of people, and they all watch each other's stuff. Can be kind of a mixed bag in rough areas. Even gangsters don't want junkies and thieves messing with their stuff or drawing police attention to their areas of operation. Last time I was in Ybor was maybe a dozen or so years ago. About the worst thing I saw was someone taking a piss on someone's car tire, lol, but we played the Masquerade and someone had been stabbed their around that time. I just preferred the more mellow St. Pete scene myself, but I also lived in St. Pete, so there was that. Side streets off 22nd av s are no place to mess around or too far east in Gulfport for that matter. Tampa is definitely a seedier vibe, as are most port cities.

As far as Florida, I've been there once. Orlando. That was enough. The tap water tasted like swampy ass. I've been all over the US though. I love California, Texas, Utah, Washington, Idaho, Montana, Arizona, NM. Really a beautiful country.

Yeah and I had a digital camera which were just coming out in those days which was worth about $600 in my luggage bag! But they didn't even touch our luggage bags...... they just went for our pants on the floor because they were looking for cash!

I saw something last week about a guy shooting up a church and then burning it. What was that all about and how come I don't see much more about it? Did anyone die? Why did he do it? Etc

Yeah, some crazed dude drove his truck through the the wall of a Mormon church, shot up the place, then set it on fire. I didn't see the final number, but I think about 5 people died.

The MSM tried to spin it into a politically motivated attack by a MAGA Trump supporter because the guy had Trump flags on his truck and such. He probably was MAGA, but it came out shortly after that it wasn't the motivation. The guy had a long standing beef with the Mormon church and I guess snapped that day.

Once the true motive came out and it couldn't be spun into a politically motivated attack by a MAGA extremist the press dropped the story.

I was walking down Nebraska to Kennedy Blvd from Sligh. Had groups of homies chucking bottles at me from a distance. They didn’t come too close and I didn’t start running or anything.

This guy tries to pretend he's not racist..
An experienced and intelligent person knows everyone has some level of racism instilled in them. It's referred to as preferences in the language we use.

Are you an experienced and intelligent person?

Is this accounting for the change in the way FBI requires data ? Because I am 100% certain it's not. Most major cities no longer even report crime data to the FBI, since they are no longer required to.

So in reality, even with the blue cities cooking the books to lower their crime stats, which they were caught at and the FBI very quietly admitted to and the media dutifully ignored, you still have 13% of the population committing 40.7% of all murders.
