To make a long story short a friend of mine had a 73 silverface Twin for sale and it wasn't moving. He was gonna sell me that Twin for two hundred. It was stored at his friend's house. His friend gave the amp away to Goodwill a couple months ago when he was cleaning out his garage. Oh, well.

Then...

The wife walks into the house carrying A BLACK SQUIER STRAT. WTF?! One of our neighbors wanted to see what it was worth as a donation for a rummage sale for a fundraiser. We offered her $150 and she said OK.

The neck on this thing feels amazing and it's got nice flame, too. The only drawback is that it's a 21 fret guitar, but what the heck.

I have some DiMarzio stacks on my shelf, and they're going into this guitar.

Imma turn this git-fiddle into something that plays and sounds like a Ferrari.

Thanks, man. I'll post pics as soon as I can. My wife and I live in the mountains in SoCal, about 80 miles east of Los Angeles and we're likely getting our first snow tonight, possibly a substantial amount so the wife and I clearing the garage so she can put her car inside. Ahhh, the joys of winter. LOL I love it here in ski country, though.
