Yeah... if they do, it won't be for long.

Think about it:
Drug prices about to fall through-the-floor.
IVF prices about to drop by 84% (announced today).

For the first time health-insurance companies will be able to afford to provide fertility coverage.

It goes without saying that as a whole, due to the imminent general-health-drug-price falls (by HUGE amounts), insurance companies will have no option but to drastically cut premium rates.

IMHO. It's just logic. :dunno:
We'll see. I highly doubt it bro. Let's check back in a year on that one.

There're mechanisms that put pressure on them constantly to move in line with medical costs bro'; that should be obvious.

Apart from industry audits, there's competition, so there's that too.

Frankly, I can't see how any HI company could survive were it not to price according to medical-market trends, and there's about to be a big one... downwards.

I respect your opinion. Like I said, let's check back in a year.

Sure, but it won't even take that long.

As soon as a major company jumps, the rest will have no choice but to follow, especially in the current climate where peeps struggle to pay premiums and many go without thanks to the widely-held (and justified) belief that they're generally too-high.

He who jumps first will likely benefit the most.

This is US health insurance premiums over time, FWIW

It proves my point.

Imagine, given the now-ingrained belief that they're too-high and "always have been", the effect it'll have if things suddenly drop substantially?

I'm tippin' that the market will actually grow thanks to this.
