I don't see that much similarity between Jason and his dad. Jason sounds like any old drummer trying to do Zeppelin. Off the mark.

Jon Bonham was in a class all by himself. Jason is a decent drummer but he isn't his dad.

Like many that describe EVH as having this intangible SWING, Rhythm and feel. Jon Bonham had all of that... instinct, swing, timing and just did amazing things on drums and kept things under control with John Paul Jones who's skills were equal to Bonham's.....of course all of this is just my opinion.
