Anyone can help on how to have the humbucker split (top coil) with the single coil in position two? What do I have to change from that diagram.

Thanks in advance

One way to know for sure it to know the start/end of the pickup and what colors correspond to that. Each anufacturer can change these colors, so it is best to contact them directly if you are able to for that information.

Are you using a mini humbucker like in the diagram or an actual single coil?

You're going to need a different switch than the standard 3-way blade shown above. It needs to break-connect the bridge humbucker - the white/black connection soldered together above, while also doing the normal switching. The diagram below will do what you want with a 5-way multipole switch. You'd need to find a similar 3-way switch and use the 1st, 4th, and 5th connection on this one to get what you describe - or almost as it splits both pickups in 4th position.

Here's a 3-way which should work.

You can ask Dimarzio tech support for exactly what you're trying to do and they can probably get you a schematic.

That's the same switch, just in a different configuration. I'll go draw the diagram for that (either really) switch. Basically, you do the leads on one side, jumping 1 & 2 to the bridge hot and putting the neck hot on 3, with the lead on the common on one side. The other side puts the coil wires on 2 and the common to ground.

Yeah, you're right. I was thinking you'd need to have the ability to split or not split, but not really given the specified selections. I always enjoy messing around with all these configurations.....but for my own, it's just straight-forward one pickup or other and go from there.
