Don’t look passed Schecter. They have some really good offerings in that price range.

Another reason I like the Jackson is because it reminds me of this old Peavey Rotor EXP that I missed out on years back...

Did you swap out the saddles? The purple sparkle one comes with bent stamped steel like Fender Strats. Yuck,
Yes made a yuge difference. I know much great music has been made on "stamped saddles" but i can't stand them.
Brass sustain is way better, thats why Yngwie & Sykes prefered brass nutts.
You can get brass saddles roller or non roller shipped from Amazon for around $30 bucks for any guitar including PRS.
Amazon has shitloads of guitar parts AND guitars including Lynch ESP Desert Eagles which tripped me out.
Be sure to measure width for correct fit. Blueberry burst is okay but wish i had the purple.

I recommend the Fapiphone. My Prophecy is excellent. I ordered from Cream City Music during a sale and am very pleased. Free shipping, no sales tax, and being on sale equals winning big on this one.

I'm a sucker for the $600-$1200 range of guitars. Never owned anything more expensive.
Been wanting a new shape and I've narrowed it down to these three which are all approx. $900

I have grins and gripes with each because they do have their own plus' & minus'. I'm also mainly a fixed bridge hardtail guy.

Any insight or perspective to share on them? (I'm neither Yoda or from Renaissance times so I refuse to ask "What say you?")

I’m jealous—unfortunately if you wear a XXL golf glove there aren’t many good options out there in that $ range.

Cream City Music just announced their early BF VIP sale. 20% off new items with code VIP20

I'm not affiliated, just a satisfied customer.

Don't sleep on the Epiphone Modern. I got this purple one at the same time as the Prophecy from Cream City and it's sweet. Just lower output pickups, less frets, no belly cut, and glossy finish in comparison to the Prophecy. Oh, and less expensive by hundreds. But those pickups will make you work for it.

These have been my number 1 and 2 since they arrived allowing me to keep my more expensive guitars at home and away from the basement dungeon cover band rehearsals.

I ordered the Schecter PT Standard a few days ago. Along with an EMG wiring kit as I have a pair of 85's laying around that should go nicely in there.
Otherwise, RW fretboard, mahogany body, maple neck, no belly or contour cuts jumbo frets, blk hardware. Lots of boxes ticked with this guitar. The burl patterns vary so who knows what it's gonna look like.

This code didn’t work for me unfortunately. I’ll try again later. They have a guitar I’m interested in, hmmm.

WELCOMETOCCM worked for

The early BF VIP sale ended Sunday night. Stay on their mauling list theres bound to be more sales coming I would think, in fact I'm surprised they didn't extend it.

I pounced on the new Boss pitch shifting pedals. I was surprised the coupon code worked for these 2 recent Boss releases. The XS-1 and the XS-100. This is a funky fresh drop and not even in stock yet at most places I don't think let alone on sale.

I had my eye on a guitar to but kept my powder dry on that.

I originally wanted an orange or yellow LP Custom Widow but saw one in person and thought the nickel hardware and white nut killed the guitar. Would also need EMGs installed.
I think you steered me clear of the Luke. I think the trem would be annoying.
The Jackson is leading but still apprehensive about the getting an ugly chocolate milk color fretboard or one with silly swooping grain patterns.
I think those ugly ones are "reclaimed" ebony or pretty much shit ebony used before until CITES...... Not saying it's bad and it has its place for preservation of trees and whatever but yeah :dunno:

Laurel is more like rosewood than Ebony or Pau Ferro.... Either way IME Pau Ferro darkens ups after play as within anything.... Use all the real estate and play the whole board and milk all the guitar you can too to thoroughly darken it up but otherwise they are plenty dark and look pretty uniform ^_^

In any case I'd go Jackson.

The Schecter wasn't even $900. Listed and sold new for $425 USD lol. Great price for the specs IMO.

Here's some other cool guitars I was looking at as well.
