DSL40CR is better stage amp than those little Friedmans. 40W from EL34 has enough volume and boldness for average 100-300 people stage where most 20W EL84 amps are usually out of headroom. Friedmans has better 'bedroom' sound and are much more gainy and saturated but it turn in to disadvantages...

Nothing wrong with Yungblud and he has few albums before Ozzy conection. Same people which are offended by him are the same who were terrified by Ozzy in 70's :) It is hard to please old farts who listened last new music in 90's because today music suck even they ever hear any :)

I have Duel 60 and my issue with clean channel was almost impossible to get both channels equally volume wise. (no Density, only Bite). The circuit placement of clean channel volume before Master doesn't help at all and my solution was some light tweaks by my tech to lower clean channel signal...

I play with two Bogner Cubes (Celestion Alnico 90 / Scumback J75 16ohms) and it is my favourite setup and most of the time I prefer it before 4x12 Bogner for my hardrock band. Lightweight, stackable and even singer could help You with one :) Had a tons of 1x12...oversized usually has big but...

These are still kings of higain amps for gigging. Don't push gain past 4-5, crank it and they eat any modern butique amp for breakfest. Generic, boring, compressed as usual comments comes everytime but it is Your riffs and playing, not the amp 😆

If amp have a loop is what matter, there is no other way, unless 2nd master volume, to boost overall volume in front preamp in higain amp. Classic issue with plexi/JCM800 amps in 2 guitar band.

Do You use FX8 in stereo ? You can use OUT1 R to feed the tuner. There is slightly tone change with PT3 buffer on and FX8 DSP bypass clearer and less tone-changing. What matter is first and last buffer in chain.
