    Did you use the Evolve drop in? Alex Catlow helped me tremendously with a modded 800 I did as a gift to a friend that had his amps stolen. I regretted giving that amp away.     Interesting. The Archon seems like a sleeper amp. I don't think I've ever tried one but your endorsement of it has my interest peaked. I don't really know much about those.

    Corrected that for you. Maybe not THE best but damn if it isn't one of the more straight forward/instant gratification amps out there. I prefer a Mesa Mark over this but if I had 1k to buy an amp and only 1k it would be a Peavey and then use the rest on a used cab and boost
