Honestly the Burstbucker 1 is my favorite, if you have one of those. Not a metal pickup however.

I like my LP neck humbucker to cut snd have a certain snap to it. Think BB King. Not single coil-ish, but a nice pop when you hit the note. The tone knob can be dialed back for the thicker stuff.

What is the body wood?

Pariah Pasadena Black is a good option too. I prefer it over the Pasadena White

I had a single humbucker version with the Necromancer's Castle graphic on it. It was okay. Traded it in for an ESP Kamikaze. This was the graphic

I've ordered a set of the 54s too. Can't wait to compare the two sets. I like them better than the Klein Epic 59 set I have.

Correct -- I like the Rocketfire better. Lots of positive reviews on the Duncan's but they aren't for me
