Hiya'all ... Strymon El Capistan <=> Mark V FX Loop When connected this way, the repeats are very low in volume no matter where Mix is set ... can't get them to be even close to unity with dry signal. When plugged in front of the amp, it works perfectly fine and as expected. Dry signal sounds...

Just wondering what the input impedance of the buffer in the patch bay is and was there a specific reason for designing it that way? (i.e. what would be the difference between 500kOhm vs. 1MOhm ... etc.) Thanks!

Have been using my Rivera Rockcrusher for house playing and it sounds great, best attenuator I have had so far. Just for shits and giggles, hooked up the head straight to the cab and set it to similar volume ... sounds better. Noticeable better. Clearer and punchier even at the low volume...

BE-100 or any other amp I guess ... what should I do when switching pre-amp tubes? - turn the amp off completely - put on standby - don't worry about it and switch them while amp is on :confused:

Hey Dave and all ... what are your fav noise gates? Would be placed in the loop for some high gain chug. Preferably in pedal form. Used to have ISP on my board but read somewhere that it's not the most transparent in the loop. Looking at MXR Smart Gate.

I know it comes with 5881 but can it take 6L6 as well? Watching some older Amp Show vids and seems like it used to come with 6L6. Why the change and what would be the difference in sound and performance? Entertaining the thought of DS 1x12 combo and have some NOS 6L6 at home that I could swap...
