That’s kind of subjective. Mustaine has and will always be mocked by his vocals, Megadeth not really being a band but just a solo project with hired musicians and his eternal crying about being kicked out of Metallica.
You know every time there’s a new Megadeth album around the corner, the only...
Like pretty much everybody else. It's almost impossible to capture the tone of the records playing an amp in your room. You can get close and you will be close to the Metallica tone with a Mark amp, but the tone on the record is just impossible to achieve with just a tube amp.
What I have always heard is that some of the process and components of the originals are not possible to be made anymore due to enviromental laws and the likes.
Another option I’m contemplating is to use the Power Amp In of my Katana 100 MK2 and use the Tonex with my Harley Benton vertical 2x12.
But I’ve heard bad things about using a modeler with real cabs as people say they sound thin and not project the sound like a tube amb unless you use them in...
So I’m thinking of buying a Tone X Pedal and I’m unsure which way would be the best to amplify it. I was debating between two options: a very well regarded studio monitors like the Yamaha HS8, or a very popular frfr solution like the Headrush FRFR 8 or 12.
I would like the best possible...
I’m not saying he is the same guy, just that his personality is pretty much the same.
But he obviously has changed in a lot of other aspects and he can’t write or perform like in his prime years.
But thats something that happens to most artists. The first records tend to be the best in the...
Of course Hetfield’s perspective on a lot of things has changed through the years (The Unforgiven trilogy is a good testament of that) and he is mentally and physically in a very different place from 40 years ago. But his core personality is exactly the same and pretty much that applies to the...
You mean the shy and introverted Hetfield that was constantly bullied by Mustaine, the same Mustaine who was obviously the leader of the band live because James was trembling and scared shitless of talking to the crowd? The same James who thought that he wasn’t good enough to play the guitar so...
I watched every interview of Metallica under the sun and James has pretty much exactly the same personality. He has always being kind of a goofball since the very first interview.
Of course when he was young he had much more energy on stage and tried to be more menacing in his mannerisms, but...
James literally hasn’t changed one bit personality wise, he is the same as he was when he started touring with Metallica.
But I guess everybody needs their rationalizations.
