I updated to 5.04 on my EL34 VHX. It really seemed to improve the tone on all channels. It had a much older firmware on it. I don't see where the attenuation goes to -20. Do see and love the PEQ! Can't say enough great things about this amp. It's amazing!

I like the form of the vhx. Have a few questions about it 1. Can it do Jose Marshall evh tones 2 how would it sound with el34s 3 how would it sound through scumback bm75 vs v30s Trying to see if this could be the amp I am looking for. Running a be100 dlx now and prefer hot Marshall tones.

Wondering if the synergy stuff is on par with the Be50/100. Thinking either 2xsyn 2 and amp or a be 100/50. I like the synergy flexibility just wonder how good it sounds compared to the friedman?

2 new V30's I am not going to use them and will sell for $100 shipped conus only for the pair. They are brand new and have about 10 hrs on them max.

Really on the x? I thought it was a lot lower gain and woldnt get near vh and ej lead tones?

I am more of a vintagey tone seeker. Looking for EVH, E Johnson, hendrix , Srv, as well as 80s metal tones. Which would you pick. Also dont play super loud so interested if that influences the decision. Have owned the marsha, beans smallbox so i know friedmans capabilities. Thanks!

Got a 40w CSR this week. Whoa this is a bad ass amp. Nails early VH Lynch Demartini tones. And has an awesome clean. Master is really great too. Got the XD cab too. Adjusting to the bite of the v30s. Man this thing cuts like a laser. I think this is the 80s metal amp. Not congested...
