    Einstein vs vh4

Well… Yes and no. Vh4 you can get to 4 sounds easy at a gig. Einstein is basically 2 sounds at a gig without mods. As far as quality they’re just different. Honestly I rarely play my Einstein anymore, but I can’t bare the thought of not having it around. It’s less fussy about cabs and tubes than...

    Einstein vs vh4

Different beasts. Tones are equally amazing. Vh4 has more utility. Einstein has a more raw sound imo.

    Hagen or VH4

I have 2x vh4 and a hagen. The vh4 tends to shine on channel 3 down to Db tuning. It doesn’t do the “modern metal” djenty type thing without help. The Hagen does that much better especially tuned any lower. I prefer channel 3 on hagen in a blues/ 70s rock variety band and then a djenty type...

    Zerrer or VH4-2 pedal?

The first gig I played with my Einstein back in 2009 I got many comments (almost complaints) on how bright the lights were. I looked back at my amp and it nearly blinded me.. I couldn't see my guitar for next chord... I LOVE that about it. There is no mistaking if the amp is on and it adds a...

-which DIEZEL is the most raw, unpolished sounding-

I havent played Schmidt, vh2, Paul, Max or Dmoll. Out of Fokker, herbie, hagen, einey, vh4 Id say Einey.

    vh4 vs. Hagen

I have both. Which I prefer depends on context. Mainly guitar and band. I prefer Hagen for classic rock tones and 'modern' heavy tones. Drop tuned to B or 7 string. It has more saturation on tap and the mids cut differently. I prefer vh4 for more tool-ish type tones. Drop D, Db : Modern...

    NAMM 2017

I think he was saying most people are used to hearing the v30 and one should keep that in mind when comparing this demo to vh4. I think he then transitions into the vh2 sounds VERY close. The different pcb layout will slightly alter the tone for those with very keen ears.

Vh4 Channel 2 Tuner Mute Question

I just bought a new plug and soldered wire from ground to hot inside it. If you're not experienced with solder ask your local music store or a friend. Should be a 5 min job tops including time for the iron to heat up.

New cabinet/ speakers, fl vs rl, greenback vs g12-65 heritag

Easier for me to compare each to all v30 cab. Best description i can give is v30/gb is like a slightly honkier less bassy not as loud v30 cab. 65/30 is like a more balanced and smoother v30 cab. It takes some of the rip you head off mids and smooths it out. Still cuts though. Slightly looser...

New cabinet/ speakers, fl vs rl, greenback vs g12-65 heritag

Keep in mind the 65s (well broken in) are fairly dark speakers compared to v30. I think they compliment eachother well. It adds a smoothness to the v30 cut.

New cabinet/ speakers, fl vs rl, greenback vs g12-65 heritag

I tried greenback/v30 and didnt like it. V30s drown out the greenbacks too much in my experience. Might be awesome with a different cab, but I really dig the 65s over greenbacks anyways.

New cabinet/ speakers, fl vs rl, greenback vs g12-65 heritag

I had some g12-65's from the 80's mixed with v30's in a RL orange cab. It was one of my fav setups with the vh4. I only pulled the 65s because they need repair, but Im happy with all v30s too.
