    JCM 900 Tone

    I finally got a new setup and am loving it. My old rig is a Peavey Ultra Plus and i really liked the clean tone out of it. This marshall is a little muddy on the clean side. Any suggestions to brighten it up?

    I picked up an Adrian Smith SDX for a pretty good price, under $300.00. Whoever had it before me did some parts swapping. I have no idea what the bridge pickup was, but it sounded horrible. So i swapped a Jackson pickup out of my dinky in and it sounds better. The neck is a Seymour Duncan pickup...

    MXR 10 band or Boss GE-7 EQ

    Right now i'm just running straight into my amp (Peavey Ultra Plus) with no pedals or EQ. I'm thinking i want an EQ to define my tone more. I've read great reviews on the MXR, i'd just like to hear some other opinions.

    8 or 16 ohm speakers

    I don't really know how to word this, but i'll try. I have a Crate cab with crappy SLM speakers now, i plan on changing them out. I have a Peavey Ultra Plus head that has a selector switch on the back for 4, 8 or 16 ohm. My plan is to get 4 Celestion g12t-75s, what ohm should i get?
