Finally got my hands on one of these. This thing rips. Has such a chewy feel to it over my Marshalls. Really great organic clean channel too! It sounds fantastic with my Strat too!

Would you happen to still have the amp designer’s email ?

I swapped the a5 in my Aldrich bridge pickup with a rough a2. I accidentally flipped the magnet. Does that affect the tone at all BESIDES when you’re in the middle position? I kinda like the out of phase sound but if it’s causing it to sound different when I’m on the bridge alone I’ll flip it back

I don’t know where to post this but I’m looking for a clean bmf head, cab is a plus. Can buy outright or if you prefer have good gear I can offer. Either way if you have one give me a should at least let me give you an opportunity to say yes or no!

I got a back panel wired up and they’re certainly not bright but they’re not dark either. I actually like them better than my 1960ax and are just as bright. I think the checkered grill cloth in the ax cuts the highs a bit

Found this really clean 1960 cab on marketplace. I’ve never seen g12-65’s with 444 55hz cones! The speakers date to 1984. Only bad news is there’s no back plate for it but I pulled one off another cab and it sounds great

I just ordered both the maxi pre and power matcher. I have a jackson 648a but I want something with a little more in depth testing that will help me match. I will report back once I get it

I’m looking at two quads of Tesla el34’s….both from the 70’s 37 factory. One black base set tests at 100% one brown base tests 90%. Price around the same. Are the brown base that much better? Hard to tell but the tubes look very similar
