Jeff Daniels.. cool.. Bruno Mars, Post Malone, The Fugees, Harrison Ford, Beck, Robert Pattinson, Kiefer Sutherland, Jeff Garlin, Frank Stallone, Boyz II Men, Gwyneth Paltrow and her sons, Heidi Klum, Shaun White, David Carradine, Kevin Jonas, Machine Gun Kelly, Guy Pearce, Kirsten Stewart...
I've changed a radius on an older PRS to 16" and refretted it with stainless steel for someone. It was a game changer for that guitar. I'm waiting until I'm bored enough to do the same to my CU24. There are way too many things they won't do because "paul doesn't like it", and it frustrates me.
ENGL's are insane amps. The problem is once you have one, you don't *need* anything else. o_O
I tracked down an ENGL Special Edition E670 after searching for years. It's the perfect amp. Does everything I need and more. I had plans to pick up a Fireball 100 and I wanted to check out a Marty...
I didn't know about the 412/15. Interesting combo. What does the speaker layout look like? I have a coworker who's asked me to build a 2x10 with a 15. Maybe I'll convince him to do a 412/15 style instead. This one looks too much like Mickey Mouse, even if it'll be covered with grille cloth.
You're absolutely right. I had 3-4 Mesa halfback 412s, 3+ Mesa Straight/Slant OS 412s, 2 Mesa Recto Slant 4x12s (one was a buddies). Between the speakers and construction they all sounded a bit different. Some bright, some muffled. I don't think I paid more than $600 for any of them though. I...
I was applying for jobs the last half of 2023 into 2024 and a few months this year. I haven't heard back from 99% of them. Positions I'm well qualified (and over-qualified for). I've been applying to in-person AND remote. With everything I've been seeing, it looks like the job market is just...
The reverb circuit on the II's were always noisy and apparently a well known problem. Mesa used to mod them, changing up some resistors and ground placements. Out of the tracing's I've seen online, there's a bunch of differences on the Reverb Return & Drive Stage (V3A & V4B) cathode bypass area...
I like everything about it. The shape. The output jack thing. 20" Radius. Trem Stabilizer, the middle pickup being voiced so that he can slam it down and it doesn't drop out the volume. Before the video was over I was dead set on getting one.. until I found out it's gonna be $7300+ after tax. No...
On all my reverb equipped IIC+'s the Reverb was seemingly "always on". Clicked on it was loud and proud. Clicked off you could still hear the springiness, especially if you were heavily gated and playing riffs with pauses. Cheesed me off enough to keep my reverb on 0 for all of them.
Mojotone Tomahawk / Dustie Waring set. 16k Alnico V bridge, 7.6k Alnico V Neck. The bridge pickup is super mean and sounded sick in my Les Paul. Just so happens I have a set for sale :D
I will also suggest the Bare Knuckle Ragnaroks. I'm not into Djent, I can't Djent.. but the pickup set is...
Man how cool would it be to rip a sick solo then turn around and bang a chick on top of your cab. I wonder if I could rise to the occasion in front of an audience both for the solo and for the banging. That's what this add is implying, right?
Midi capable and having different settings makes me want to try one. There was one on Reverb for $200+/-. I added it to my cart and went to check out and it sold before I could check out.
