He is not my buddy - no politician is.
In his case I voted for him - twice. Because as bad as he is - and he is an idiot - his opponents were worse. Such is the state of our politics today.
Since his defeat in 2020 - and yes he lost - it was his to win but he was and is too stupid to shut up and instead took to twitter like a 15 girl - he has done nothing but hurt the conservative cause.
The quicker he gets off the stage the better - this only prolongs the agony, all to the benefit of the progressives.
