Why doesn't the bass player just sing? Band is super tight. At this point, just get anyone to sing and call it Dokken and people will still go! How are this many people showing up for this shit? I mean i guess I could listen to this band do it instrumentally and just sing background vocals. That would work better than this corpse mumbling through the tunes.

Still better than Vince Neil.

While that is a fun joke to make, you and I both know that isn't true. Vince is terrible BUT he still has his timbre, the general sound of his voice. So even if he quacks his way through a song, it still has some energy. Listening to Don's voice is worse than watching paint dry.

I have to disagree, I would still rather listen to Don than Vince, regardless of who actually has some vocal cords left.

I'd go see George, Jeff, and Mick just play the music. Don's ringer band is pretty good too...

I think Jeff could actually sing them too. When he rejoined Dokken a few years back, it seems like he was doing quite a bit to reinforce Don's vocals.

I saw them open for Aerosmith back in the day. He could sing back then. And he didn’t stand there like a damn fool watching the solo. Fuck now I’m feeling old.
Saw that same tour in '88. It was my first concert. Went for Dokken. Aerosmith absolutely blew them away

was not my first concert; however, I did go to that show in Dallas. funny thing is, I always went to Aerosmith concerts in the 80's to see the opening bands

GNR
Dokken
Skid Row

and probably a few others I forgot about lol

Yep - but the music was where the "magic" really happened... ?

DD had some major health issues and surgeries..
The fact that he still draws a crowd is a good thing.

Seen them about 1.5 years ago. Don sounded like Johnny Cash so we named him Donny Cash from that point on. Back in the day Dokken was my wife's favorite band. She left very disappointed. Levin and Lynch rocked.
