Sammy ain’t much of a guitar player really. Though I’ll readily admit he can play circles around me. I’m a bass player though. He’s married so he probably gets the same amount of pussy I do. He can definitely still sing and put on a good show though. And for what it’s worth, other than most of the Van Hagar bullshit, I really like Sammy.

Saw Sammy on the Can't Drive 55 tour in 84, guy played for 3 hours straight! Was asking the crowd for requests and playing them....ran up the lighting rig and performed from the roof of the arena for a bit...pretty cool in my books.
One of the best shows I ve seen out of hundreds and hundreds.

People with no gigs talk a lot of shit sometimes. Sammy has done thousands of shows. Press a guy like that with a guitar and you might get your ass handed to you. Not every player rips all their licks every night and you never know what tricks someone has up their sleeves.
