For Sale Amps for sale in Middle TN

I figured I'd list these up as I'll never get to use them at any sort of decent volume and no stage anywhere around here would let me in the door with one of these lol

I'm in Crossville, TN and looking for local pickup at the time. I may consider shipping down the road, but there are too many horror stories of amps arriving damaged and it's just a big hassle to deal with.

Some of the pics are from when I bought the amps, but nothing has changed, other than being at my house instead of theirs.

First is, I think it's a 2022, Morris XS III 2 channel amp. I bought it from a guy on TGP who said he didn't use it much. I got it and put maybe like 8 or 9 hours on it. It's in fantastic shape and comes with a footswitch. I'm asking $2200.

Second, is a Lexi I bought, I think from a guy off of here. The only thing I've used it for is just spending maybe 10 minutes with it when I first got it to make sure all the knobs and switches worked. It comes with the footswitch. I'm asking $2000.

This, is an MGL 50 I got from a guy on here when I lived in Maine. I spent about 10 minutes checking it out when I first got it, and it has never been turned back on since, unfortunately. It's one of the first ones and this model isn't made anymore. Here are the specs from the amp:

BUILD SPECS:

* Custom wound power transformer and choke from Dagnall in the UK

* Handwound Merren Audio output transformer

* 2 of the caps early in the circuit are NOS mustard caps and really add to the “Marshall” voicing

* Mostly SoZo caps in the rest of the circuit

* NOS Amphenol power tube sockets

* Belton preamp tube sockets w/ gold anodized shields

* 18 AWG mil spec Teflon insulated wire

* 1 watt carbon film resistors

* Real UK Cliff jacks

* Brass shaft CTS pots

* ARS filter caps

* Metropoulos “Zero Loss” effects loop w/ true bypass switch

* NOS tube set with German Siemens EL34 power tubes & original ‘80’s Chinese mil spec 12AX7 preamp tubes

I'm asking $1800.

I would love to try that mgl. I wonder how similar it is to the red circuit.

Clips are juicy, esp. @JiMB but he makes everything sound good.

Is yours the same as for sale here? They have a few different models.

I believe mine is newer (but not the newest). It’s a 50 watt. Similar specs. Almost the same face plate (says preamp on the front instead of gain like newer ones). Mine is a 50 watt red. Sounds great and big but distinct. I thought the voicing had a nice grunt in the low mids that made it sound darker and a bit more menacing than the upper mids emphasis of most Marshall style amps.

Your description nails my old JMP50. Should've kept that amp.
It had a lower plate voltage. Sounded super brown, and got tighter an punchier when cranked.
Youre not helping my GAS. At all.

When i first got the MGL red, i thought it was dark also as i was coming off a wizard, but then i realized the eq was just far more balanced.

@itsgoodnow have to give you my settings to try.

It's good to see the gut shots of a Morris amp and see something that sounds so good doesn't have to be perfect on the inside... as I'm getting ready to build my first kit. It's a quality build for sure, but he doesn't make sure his leads are perfectly straight... and solders the ground bar across all the pots... just like I'm going to do.
