There is a little bit of that but they mostly hang with the other bands and in their suite.

Nick was seen running around signing people's white boards on their cabin doors and PNut and Nick played basketball with people. I'm sure there were countless other situations. The cool thing that I noticed, and video'd, was they left the boat about the same time I did and so they were walking down the gang plank with their bags just like everyone else.

Thanks for asking,

Wow that’s awesome, they truly are one of the most down to earth bands!

So it's on the 3rd of November. Or is it the 31st of January.

Great thread. Love 311, first thing i heard was Music. One of the best debut albums ever.
Grassroots, blue album, transistor. After that i didn't follow but man they are such a great band.
Huge fan of their older stuff. I still play some of their songs.
Never saw them live unfortunately. Thanks for reminding me of how good they are.

It's 311 not 113

March 11th is 311 Day. They rotate a 2-3 day concert experience in either Vegas or New Orleans and then the next year is a cruise.

I realize you blokes write your dates backwards from how we do it. To me it is March 11th. Not the 11th of March but it is just nomenclature

That's cool. Thanks for posting. Your story is similar to lots of people. Plus, many would say they kind of had a lull there around the Evolver album (2003). I also somewhat took a break but during that break I was mostly diving into all the albums deeper as (for me) it takes time to absorb it all. Then I picked back up with them more starting in 2014 wit the Stereolithic album. All awhile, doing most of the 311 Day shows, local concerts, and 3 cruises now. Made several trips to Denver, Council Bluffs and the Pow Wow Festival they did in Florida.

There last 3 albums are really good in particular. They still do the same thing just a bit more modernized. Below is a good example. If this tune catches your ear - it may be worth it to check out some newer stuff. If you or anyone needs to be pointed to some other newer songs without wading through unknown albums - let me know. The Mosaic album is also really good - almost from start to finish. Nothing really feels like filler. Myself, along with my late brother (RIP), are on the cover of that album along with thousands of other fans.
:rawk:
