It is very unique but also very broad. Beautiful Disaster -to- Stealing Happy Hours for example. Or Creatures For A While -to- Jack's Rule the Realm.

Use of Time is an amazing song. I love the entire Transistor album. It is probably my favorite.

Funny story. I became of aware of 311 when "Down" came out and was on the radio. Like most people probably. Well, I went on a quest to find this song by a band with a funny name. I didn't know the name of the song. I got to Camelot Music and the only thing I saw was Transistor. Assuming the song was on there I bought it. I went home and that night I tied one on real good and put on my headphones. Needlesstosay, I was completely blown away by what I was listening to. 2 guitarists, 2 singers, aliens, dub and reggae, all these crazy lyrics and music that jumped all around.

I was hooked from that night forward.

Well, "Down" was not on there of course but I ended up with the Blue album soon enough. This July is the 30th anni of that album. Here is the funny part, I already had the album Music and didn't even realize it. Was back when I was a member of Columbia House Records and I used to get stuff all the time that I didn't return or whatever. It snuck into my life and I didn't even know it. Well Music soon became my favorite. Then I heard Grassroots.

Then it just grew from there.

The more you discover their discography, the better it gets!

Transistors my gateway too, I couldn’t stop listening to it!!

I had an acupuncture session today for the first time in my life. When the 'therapist gal' was prepping my right arm she saw my 311 tattoo and asked about it. Turns out she likes that general kind of music but doesn't know anything about 311. I told her I would text her some songs she might like. I sent her, in this order, Stealing Happy Hours, New Heights, and Amber. New Heights is not necessarily a favorite of mine but I figured she'd like it.

Probably would have been weird to send her this lol but vibe checks out!
