The ones in his Epiphone SG are also made in USA with the same specs. You can get them much cheaper. I got one for my Gibson SG and it's great.

He used them on stage for 20 years.
Apologies, I misspoke—Iommi never used this pickup for anything anyone cares about. I, and most other people, don’t care what TI had loaded in his guitars in the 2010s.

Well, you should. He's a rare artist who's tone improved over the years.

I have these in an SG tuned to C#. They sound great and are very quiet under high gain.

That has fat rails on it just like the Lollar DB. I have the Lollar, the thing is like hitting a hammer against an anvil when you pick the notes. Incredible pickup and yes, very heavy also.
It's Iommi, of course it has fat rails (get it? 😆😅🤣🤣)

$229 for one pickup is indeed too much. However, has anyone seen Sheptone's prices recently?o_O

I had an Iommi pickup back in the early 2000s if I remember right. I had an SG and put one of those in the bridge and did some gigs with it. I remember liking it but not as much as the Duncan Distortion I replaced it with.

I also had the Laney Iommi amp around that swm time. My God, that thing was f'ing loud! I had to sell it. I couldn't turn it to .00001 without fearing the cops would show up.
