My preference is for the Bridge to be uncovered and the Neck to be covered.

So here's another question. Anybody ever used the EMG plug-and-play pots and wiring setup to install passive pickups?
It seems like such a good idea to put standardized plug-ins on all your pots and pickups to make swapping things out easier in the future. I'm thinking about putting in EMG 500k volume and tone pots and wiring it all up to an EMG bus.
From there all you'd need to do is attach one of EMG's wiring harnesses on whatever pickup you want and you could just pop anything in and out without soldering.
Is there any reason not to do this if you're the kind of person who likes to experiment with pickups?

I've tested this myself and if there is any difference in sound from a covered vs uncovered (plastic covers I mean), I can't hear it. But, you do you.
