Found this down south in LA and I make the run down from Norcal tomorrow for her. Take a look, she's not collectors grade but for what I'm paying would be a fool to pass up owning one of these old Marshall's.

It’s not stock but the modded components are super high quality. Like similar to stuff I use in my builds. Someone’s been in it that knows what they’re doing. I’d ask about the history.

I’d score a repro label too. That later 70’s logo looks out of place on that bad boy. But if the price is right and the soul/bones are there these are minor quibbles and easily remedied.

Got a flat lip head shell. Metal face plate and a few mods.
Metal front plate is a replacement. Back panel is OG. The chassis with only 2 Filter caps up top, OT oriented the way it is says 1968 or very early 69. Front panel probably cracked and broke apart, then replaced with a repro metal panel.
My late 68/early 69 has some of the same attributes but both front/back panels are intact. Mine also has those tropical fish caps.
Crank her up and be amazed!!

If you're in LA you may as well just drop it off at Friedman's and have him ship it back after a restoral
Nah. No offense to Dave but it's mostly original as it is now. Just a MV installed. And, Filter caps changed. That whole circuit looks pretty original as my amp had much of the same stuff. And it's original.
Mike(46-2) lives close by so he can help Ted if needed.

Great looking 68 Exometal! Congrats!

I'd recommend new ARS caps for her. What values is the single cap for the screens? 32UF??? What value is the PI cap on top of the chassis? 64uf or 100uf?

I was running F&T's in mine for a decade and prefer the ARS caps after changing them out.
