I'll be that guy, why not looking at their smaller wattage heads? Unlike some other mfgs, they are making 60W or less versions with some strong tones. That or attenuate and mix that with a strong MV.

Yeaaaa, i wouldn't do that. I would highly recommend the rating is aligned, Wattage isn't constant.

A mixture goes a long way but as stated, comes down to your personality. I've done classes for some more advanced stuff but still take it upon myself to teach myself things that augment.

Standard majority of the time unless playing to a specific band's song. Standard got a weird rap in last few years and the notion that someone needs a 7/8/9-string to sound heavy or drop tuned to infinity is crazy. Some of the heaviest music we all base our interests on were in standard.

I've seen some locally where i am go for around $2500-$3000 in the last few years. There are so scarce that it is hard to draw conclusion on average but i am not sure it i'd value it at more than $3500 at this point (merely for collector value purposes)

Sucks but the upside with GC is their return policy. I did the same thing once with a PRS Private Stock, ultimately wasn't happy and it went back to questions asked. Worth the gamble....
